The cashier girl, the petite one, was so damn rude, felt like she hated everyone and everything, ruined my appetite lol I would’ve rather hired an adolescent chimpanzee, man she sucked and not in a good way
Tasty, reasonably priced food cooked to order in a cosy, no-fuss environment. Service is very quick and food can be ordered pretty much up until closing time; just be aware that it’s cash-only. The pad see ew is my go-to and is always delicious.
A freshly cooked meal for $9.50, I guess I really shouldn’t complain. My pad kee mao was borderline ok, way too saucy (but not in a good way), the beef were stuck together in chunks. The place was no frills, bit run down, it was packed to the brim with the limited dine in tables & people shuffling in to order & people waiting for takeaway. It was cheap food, with not a lot of love. Ok for a quick feed.
$7.50 lunch special. Was intro’d to this place by a colleague. Bain-marie Thai, take your pick for as much that can fit inside a medium sized container. Look, it’s cheap.. was it close to the best Thai I’ve had, of course not. Was it bad? no. Am I satisfied? Yeah kinda. Not sure I’ll be back though unless I hit hard times.
No frill food joint.Ambience: Sitting facility is very limited.Geting seat here is next to impossible if 2+ peope going together.Service: Quick but lunch time is always crowded so it takes time for turn. Staff is good but sometimes moody. Food: Offers 2 choices with Steam Rice/ Noodle for $7.5/$8. Also offers make to order service.Overall: Value for money lunch joint.
My colleague introduced me this Thai takeaway on Walker Street. It is always busy during lunch time probably due to the competitive price. For $7.5 you can have regular two choices with steamed rice or $8.5 large. With extra $0.50 you can substitute steamed rice with fried rice or noodles. The regular size was very generous. The choices were fairly standard – chicken cashew nuts, beef massaman curry, pad Thai, etc. They may not offer the most exciting menu but damn it tasted good! The beef massaman was tender and rich, spicy chicken was well balanced in flavour and texture. I enjoyed it so much that didn’t leave any leftover. I will definitely come back for more. thernbdiary.com
Great selection of food. Been there eating for lunch too. Not gonna raving about it. But its decent enough. After 3.30pm, all left over sold for $ 5 per container. Too bad the service this afternoon was awful. The girl over the counter that served, her expression was as if she was the unluckiest girl in this world having to serve customer after 3.30 pm. I supposed she was annoyed that people ask silly question, confirming that 2 boxes = $ 10, as it clearly displayed $ 5 per box. But regardless, whether you have your period that day, or just been splashed with a hot oil while cooking, or you have a tooth ache, you still need to serve customer with such a manner.
