The Greens is an ol favourite for day drinking, lawn bowls and a perve of the Sydney Opera House, making it a fun place for summer hangs. The fruit-based cocktails are worth a mention, with crazy stuff like the lemon speakeasy (Ciroc vodka, limonchello and lemon juice) and the watermelon lychee rickey (Tanqueray gin, watermelon juice and lime juice). Then theres the epic cocktails-to-share, with the highlight being the Instafamous watermelon kegger (Ketel One vodka, watermelon juice, lemon juice, lychee juice and bitters served in a hollowed out half-watermelon). eatplaylovetravel.com.au

The Greens is a good venue for a group catch up, especially if you have kids as they can run around. You can book tables too. The menu is a little fancy for a bistro and many of the mains are quite big. Theres kids meals and coffee too. Wed love to see the brunch food continue all day. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

Beautiful spot on the Northside to get together with a group for drinks and a bite to eat. Theres plenty of space for the kids to run around on the lawn and a few of the standard kids meals options so is suitable for families too. However, the prices dont necessarily reflect the quality of the food, and the poached chicken salad ordered by one of our group was particularly unimpressive; Ive never had chicken from a tin but I imagine that is what it would look and taste like.
