Have been doing training in North Sydney the past couple of days and have been wandering around the food court at lunch.Felt like something hot and filling today because it was cold and raining.Decided to try Wokky Chan’s but unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The salt and pepper squid was inert over cooked. It was hard, chewy and cold. The fried rice wasn’t bad but definitely wasn’t worth the price. This meal was $12.95 and didn’t seem like a quality or substantial meal.Service wasn’t bad but probably won’t go back ever again.
With To’s & May’s both shutdown from the redevelopment in North Sydney, where am I gonna go for a good laksa. Answer is definitely not Wokky Chans! Gave them a go as you can choose your pick of toppings & noodles. It probably didn’t matter what you end up putting in there, the soup was so heavy duty, whatever natural taste of the toppings you have would’ve been drowned in there. It was intense salty, sweet & spicy. It made for a thirsty eat. The service was also a bit average, the staff looked & acted like they didn’t really want to be there, and not particularly helpful. Stick with Simply noodles next time.
Located in the Greenwood Plaza food court. I come here every so often when I’m in need of a quick lunch fix, and they do a decent stir fry Eggplant. Their food is very oily however, but what you’d expect from a fast food style Asian place in a food court. Lots of choices which is good, and they also do orders on the spot for retain dishes. Cheap choice for Chinese food if you’re in the food court.
