Popular with the school students, my goodness sometimes a deal is too good to be true.$2.80 for a tray of salmon and tuna sashimi is double what you get compared to the sushi outlets in Greenwood. My colleague warned their chips weren’t great so I opted for the fresh stuff. Bad move!Unless cooking the salmon my gosh it didn’t taste fresh and the condiments supported that – the wasabi was no longer bright fluro green but almost black… it tasted extremely sour and had a horrible smell. It was expired. The pickled ginger had a revolting taste to it. I couldn’t believe it.Please I’m warning readers to pay the extra few dollars elsewhere. There is something wrong with this place. It is not fresh nor clean.
The smell of fried fish & chips always gets me on route to & from the train station. Came back this time at lunch time to try them out. The prices are are very cheap with a fish & salad or chips deal for $8.50, the serving size was decent, but then you do pay for what you get. The fish itself was one of the cheaper variety, and a bit slimy in texture. The grilled fish was crusted with a sweet tasting dukka. Overall, it was ok for the price, but I would pay a few dollars extra & upgrade to the salmon deal ($11) next time.
