Lives up to the name. Good food at an express rate! Staff were very friendly and there was enough food for more than a family at a very affordable rate. Give em a try!
This place does not disappoint. I have been here since the 80s as a kid and still drop by for take aways. The food is always consistent and incredibly tasty. My fav is the spinach lamb. Takes me back to my childhood days. The owner is very friendly and still remembers me after all these years.
Ordered a Kandani lamb which was OK, but not much meat – mostly curry sauce.Chicken vindaloo was hottish – which I like – but far too watery and it lacked any distinct curry flavour. As if the chicken had been dropped into the curry sauce rather than being cooked in it from the beginning. I will not be returning.
Enjoyed a very quick (and significant) Curry order with all the trimmings. Kormas, Butter Chicken, Prawn and Veggie Dishes – total 6 with rice and trimmings for less than $100. Been on Penshurst for over 25 years!! Thanks Peter
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it’s probably one of the most authentic and generous portioned curry places in the area. Best dish is the Mandras beef but beware it’s super hot so mint yogurt and papadums a great side.
