This place is not what it was when it was one of the first Chinese restaurants that could get away with charging above average prices. I would have said 4.5 stars 15 years ago.Now?If I didn’t live a 5 minute walk away I probably wouldn’t give them my hard earned any more.Today I had one of the chef’s specials and it had (I can only assume frozen) crinkle cut chips to make up the potato part of the dish.I just don’t think they have the turnover to support such a large menu any more. Especially at the prices they charge for anything besides sweet and sour pork or fried rice.There are plenty of empty tables there now.I don’t normally spend the time to write reviews. I just don’t go back.But seriously?Crinkle cut chips in the Lamb hot pot?For twenty bucks?Next time I will get in the car and choose either one one of the great value places within a few k’s of here (of which there are many), or one of the excellent higher quality places in the neighboring suburbs.Crinkle cut chips?Overpriced.
