This is a great place for anyone who is gluten free! The staff are very accommodating and the menu is full of delicious options! Lakeside harmony is reasonably priced and the staff are lovely.
With a name like Harmony one would expect a tranquil experience at this restaurant. We entered to a shabby elderly waiter (who could be a grandfather to our kids 1.5 yrs. and 3yrs) asking us straight away to ensure our kids keep quiet Our kids at the time were engrossed watching cartoons on their I- pads. What a fantastic start. We were seated closest to the door and then asked if we really needed 2 high chairs? There were 4 tables occupied out of possibly 20 odd. None of them seem to be affected; in fact one couple when leaving came to pat our little one as he has the habit of saying Hi to everyone that passes him.At first we thought we would just get up and walk out but instead we decided to stay because we dont often get to go out and our kids were happily occupied with their videos. Our horrible experience was just about to start. We ordered what possibly is the most common Aussie Chinese fare being fried and steam rice and sweet and sour Pork.We requested that the main dish be prepared with gravy a word that the waiter conveniently chose not to understand and made us repeat it several times (shameful)What is frustrating is this waiter kept choosing to understand what he wanted to selectively.Every table received what looked like fortune cookies with their cheque, you guessed it we didnt thankfully my kids are not at an age where they would have seen that at asked where is theirs. To illustrate his stupidity when leaving he asked us which kid was older. Will we ever go again there? Yes we might with a whole troop of friends who have young kids to prove a point that you cant be disrespectful to young families and learn to be considerate of young children.Unfortunately we spent most of our time discussing how disgustingly we were being treated instead of enjoying a quiet meal.Business Owner you should be ashamed of yourself, note If you do not want kids in your restaurant Please put a sign outside No Kids welcome am Im sure our local community will be happy to spread the word, oblige and de patronise you.
We go here regularly. Service is tops. Never had to wait, and so friendly and with genuine care too. Food is great and really great value. I am a fierce critic of service – this restaurant’s service ranks at the top of my list.
Went here after a school presentation night at the convention centre & was really impressed. The staff did their utmost to cater for the unexpected numbers of students & families midweek. Delicious food, if a bit pricey & fairly mainstream. Salt & pepper squid the favourite from kids to grandmothers. Very enjoyable & would recommend.
Hit and miss here. One night good however takeaway last nite was terrible. Food soaked in oil and really bad. Spring rolls soft soggy undercooked.
