Great venue with elegant and romantic ambience, especially at night. Quite spacious seating area indoor and outdoor (overlooking the lake). I came for dinner and dishes Ive tried: grain fed Oakey beef eye fillet, twice cooked duck breast and chocolate walnut brownie for dessert. Service was pretty quick even though it was a busy night. All dishes were delicious, rather beautiful and portions were quite large (especially the duck). The beef eye fillet was perfectly cooked, the portobello mushroom was tender and flavoursome. And the beef jus was spot on.The duck breast was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious but the Dutch carrot that came with it was still crunchy. I was expecting it to be quite soft. The caramelised eschallots were so good on the other hand. The dessert: good brownie but not amazing, the popcorn is a bit chewy. Love the peanut butter gelato (strong peanut butter flavour). Definitely the best element of the dish. When paying for the bill I gave them my Amex card. A bit disappointed that they didnt mention about the extra charge if using Amex. They just processed it without asking if I have another card (which I do and paying cash is also ok for me).
We visited Trevi at Norwest on Friday 14 July as part of a large group and had the $35 lunch special two courses and a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. One of the waiters spilt about half a glass of sparkling wine over my shoulder, soaking my sleeveless jacket, my jumper and through to my underwear. These clothes will all need cleaning as I do not want to have a wine residue left on them. There was a very brief apology, and offer of a serviette to mop it up. Nothing else. The waiter seemed to be more interested in finding out who had ordered the drinks. My meal choices were Tempura soft shell crab, glass noodle salad (there was no sign of anything other than the noodles) with a lime dressing. This was warm, not hot and thus rather gluggy. For my main course I had chosen battered flathead fillets (fish was not fresh, it was thawed from frozen but my dog didnt mind), hand cut wedges not fully cooked and not really hot left them all, the accompanying salad was nice.Friday lunch is busy – maybe they could not cope with a large group. The service was quite good, but the meal was disappointing
Came here for our anniversary dinner last night and the food & service were both equally as amazing. It’s definitely our new favourite, both of our expectations exceeded. Love love love!
Sam: Taken Clients to this restaurants many times; they have great wine list and the menu although simple it is very well executed. The head sommelier is very sharp and makes great recommendations. I recommend the zucchini flower and the pecking duck Ravioli. goodtasteguide.blogspot.com
We came here for a meal on Saturday night.Surprised at the great quality of food and very good service with a nice lakeside review. The pork fillet with pesto and cashew nut pesto was delicious and salmon fillet top quality. The treacle tart dessert with ice cream was really nice.Corkage was $4 each and overall cost of meal was $129. Very reasonable. Highly recommend going to this restaurant.
The food was excellent great service a little slow getting mains but when they arrived on my god they were amazing no issues no problem great service great food can’t wait to go back a big plus is BYO the cost per head for our group of ten was $70 re head a little more than expected but worth every cent great job staff at Trevi Lakeside
Not pleasant. We ate here for a surprise 60th last night and although the ambience was nice, service was average, and high prices for the quality and wait time for the food.My gnocchi was overly salty to the extent of dry mouth. After waiting over an hour for the mains to arrive after breads for entree I was not prepared to send it back and wait even longer when I was starving. The risotto that another guest on our table had was also very salty. The butterfly prawns were also bland with no seasoning that obviously went to the pasta dishes and was not worth the $55.Also having to listen to the wait staff bickering the entire night was not satisfactory either.Very unfortunate and average experience and we won’t be returning
