This is an oldie but goodie. It’s been awhile since I’ve been here, and it was just as lovely as the last time I came over a year ago. So it’s very cosy (aka, a little bit cramped), but it adds to the ambiance. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and happy to give you a taste before you commit to a glass. They have an interesting wine list, so we decided to go by the glass so that we could try more wines. I was glad to hear that they’ll always have the whipped ‘bottarga’ pretzel, as it is definitely one of the standouts (tip: make sure you soak each piece of pretzel generously or you won’t have anything left to sop it all up). We tried the quail Milanese this time, along with their ‘caprese’ (so yummy!), and the tuna crudo (the weak dish of the night). We also had 2 pastas, the crab spaghettini and sausage ragu which were both amazing. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert. It’s a popular place that doesn’t take bookings, so try to beat the rush. If you have to wait though, it’s well worth it. 🙂

LOVE THIS PLACE There are no bookings for this place and during peak times, you do have to wait for a while as it gets packed! The appetisers are to die for! The pretzel bottarga OMG. The farinata. Wow. The pastas are a hit and slight miss. The speghetti chittara was perfect, but in previous menus I found the pastas to be undercooked. Depends whats on the menu during the current season. I always crave for the appetisers

A newly rewarded two hat restaurant in Sydney. Serve fantastic Italian food. We ordered spaghetti, pappardelle, quail as main dishes for share, and farinata and focaccia. Entries (pre dish) is only enough for two people, so if u come in group or more than 2, I reckon to order two entry plates. As for mains, pasta tastes great! Highly recommended. I prefer pappardelle which is the broad and thick one. Must try their Tiramisu, the best Ive ever had. Its as much as a wine bar as it is a restaurant. If u dont really like to eat at all of the mood doesnt right, at least order bar snakes like farinate, Mayo, San Daniele prosciutto.

Great little place for some intimate dining. Service was fast & friendly. Food was good however only wished we ordered a pasta dish for each person as I was left wanting more of the dishes we shared (especially the pappardelle dish!).

Tiny little venue but if you can suck yourself in, then it’s worth the pokey-style seating arrangement in order to fill your guts with a delicious and authentic bowl of carbs.

The best meal I’ve had in Sydney in ages, take your parents they will love it. I had the pretzel bottega and the pappardelle, both of which were superb.

We went here on a rainy Friday night and decided to go early as we know it gets busy. We were there around 5:30 and were lucky enough to get one of the last tables. Sitting on a comfy bench against the wall at a small table, were were pretty squished. The restaurant is extremely small, waiters have to push past each other and likewise you will need to if you go up stairs to the bathroom. It has a huge wine menu and wines by the glass. I got a wine and an aperol spritz which were both good. Hubby got a two wines, the second was a bit off, but they said it was funny due to it being organic and fermenting in the bottle. In any case, we sent it back as we felt there was something wrong with it. We still got charged. Food was all excellent and came out very promptly, food service and delivery was excellent in that regards. We had the whipped bottarga dip and pretzel which was extremely fluffy and light. We also tried the mozzarella and cabbage and the ragu pasta. Food was all outstanding.Staff were not overly friendly but efficient at their job. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
