Was around Paddington and this pub caught my eye the inside surrounding was nice and homely. It’s a shame there is no lunch special on Fridays. Ended up getting the grilled chicken burger and chips with gerkin, lettuce and Aoli sauce which took about 30 mins to be served. The burger was cooked fresh and so were the chips, although I wouldn’t say its worth the wait but a nice setting with friends.

Looks good, lovely space but bearded dumb useless kids that are utterly hopeless . The city is full of good places, skip this one for sure …

Great pub for a casual beer in a classy area. Worth spending a good couple of hours watching the world go by! Grab a seat by the window overlooking the street.Friendly staff to boot.Food looked good but didn’t sample.

Sorry Leroy: Won’t be going back: having been to the Village Inn about a dozen times since they re-opened I liked the refurb and found the staff reasonably friendly. Sure, it was heinously expensive but I like to support local businesses, even when they charge like wounded bulls. But after the pointlessly and unapologetically officious attitude of tonight’s manager to both me and my family I won’t bother going back. I imagine that alienating customers will eventually do the venue no favours. Best of luck.

Two words: Lamb Shank. On point. As a pub, would say the drinks are perhaps a little on the pricey side, particularly with so much strong competition in Paddington, but a great spot and was buzzing when we dropped by on a Wednesday night. Great venue space upstairs in the Print Room, and cocktails were excellent.

I came here after uni one day to meet up with a couple friends. I got the lamb shanks which was amazing and a dish i DEFINITELY recommend, however on the other hand the steak dish was a disappointment. Even though we ordered the steak to be medium rare, when it came out it was way over cooked and really dry. Overall the Village Inn is a nice place to go grab some drinks, the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed.
