Located close to public transport, this dessert place stood out very much with its spacious seating arrangements and its loud music beats. Gotta say, it had an American vibe to it.Strawberry and chocolate Profiteroles: 4/5Great serving size, had a good amount of diced strawberries and the profiteroles itself tasted amazing. Shame there was a lot of whipped cream (I guess it was for the presentation aesthetics and for the whipped cream lovers)Havana club: 3.5/5Great serving size. The macadamia and mango ice cream tasted delicious. The chocolate ice cream was mediocre.Once again, not a fan of whipped cream with the ice cream. Just ruins the ice cream flavours in my opinion.I recommend eating out in groups (3+) as that is worth the $$$.
I used to find their menu item special and is heaven to sweets lovers. My recent visit had been a disappointing one. We were seated upstairs where the environment was dim and super noisy, table and seats were sticky, staff was nowhere to be seen. We had a crepe and icecream bowl. The ice cream was overly sweet to my liking. It’s good if you wanna be on sugar high. Not for those who are after high quality ice cream and quality catch up with friends and family.
My colleague would come into work every month and tell me about her bay vista experience. I’d be dribbling on my keyboard.Bay vista is an easy walk from parramatta station and a dessert lover’s heaven. We ordered 5th ave new york ice cream bowl which consist of whipped cream, peanut butter, chocolate and boysenberry ice cream, new york cheesecake pieces, choc brownie bites, soft serve, choc fudge and waffle bites. IT WAS HUGE. whatever you imagine the size to be on their menu.. double it. To be honest, this would be more than enough for two, i doubt you will be able to fit much in after it.Boy was it delicious! We ordered a crepe each, also larger than expected. My partner ordered smoked salmon. I had a bite of his and wasnt a big fan of the salmon crepe, it had capers and very strong salty flavours but my partner devoured it and loved it. I preferred my spinach mushroom, feta and cheese crepe. We also ordered a pav…. thinking it was tiny. Again bigger than expected. It was delicious… whipped cream, fresh fruits, pav, passionfruit topping. We were so full but couldnt put this one down.Overall, hits the spot for me in terms of sweets, id give the sweets a solid 5/5! A little bit more perfecting in terms of savoury (based on what we had) but im glad to see savoury on offer. To be honest, I wouldnt come to bay vista for savoury only. I’d come for dessert… after all it is a dessert bar! Will we return to spend our own money there? You bet. We will probably make our way to brighton le sands next time. As it would be a closer trek for us. But will definitely be returning as there are many delicious things to try on the menu.*kindly invited theweekendfoodieeats.blogspot.com
