What a lovely place! Superb food and service and the atmosphere is lovely. If you can, and the weather permits, sit outside and enjoy the lovely view of the park, one of Sydney’s undervalued gems.

Cool under the shade, the gatehouse tea rooms is conveniently located in the park so good for people watching and watching the scenery..The service was pretty much faultless w a smile and the food came out pretty much in two minutes – zucchini and pumpkin muffins and salad w tzaziki which was warm and easy to cut into also the coffee was good, but a tad pricey at 4$ Pretty much faultless, I hope they are doing well!

Went here for lunch and was super surprised that we were allowed to have high as most places require notice. Not only that, we actually waited less than 5 minutes before our food came out which was so good as we went during work hours. Three food was lovely and we were seated outside so we had a lovely view of their garden. Such a relaxing place to be!Had been here before on a weekend where it gets quite busy so if you’re planning on going, i suggest going during the week. Service was also really good and highly recommend this place. Price was also really good too!

Sigh. Look the service was decent (I was served by Kate, she was nice and all) however, the food was very bland. And my goodness, the scone was way too sweet and crumbly.. Not to my liking and how scones should be! I wasn’t able to finish the 4 petite desserts because it was way too sweet and the caramel slide seemed off as I only took a small bite..They have got to improve the quality of the traditional high tea as I know from experience and have tasted numerous high tea places around Sydney.

We came here for Devonshire tea and where wowed by the softness of the scones. We also shared a plate of sandwiches which were average as the bread was a bit dry and the fillings were nothing special. The dill and cucumber sandwich was delicious though and a highlight of the occasion. It is a lovely place set in a lovely location though if you decide to specialise in high tea some of the small touches like homemade jam or fresh baked bread would make it go a long way.

Went here for the first time, booked for two for a 12pm seating on valentines day. Once we got there we didnt have to wait long to be guided to our seats nor be offered the complimentary wine and drinks menu. We waited no longer than 10 minutes for the food to come out. The staff were kind enough to explain each and every item on the plates. The food itself were fresh, the quiches were warm just like they came out of the oven, the scones were the perfect texture and full of flavour. The desserts freshly made and delicious, the tea was incredible, the decor was breathtaking and the staff were the right amount of friendliness and helpful and weren’t overbearing. I will gladly return

Great inexpensive high tea.. I went to the tea rooms back in November for my birthday with a group of 7 people. We were not disappointed. All of us has the chance to try a pot of their yummy teas (refillable with water on request). The high tea food items were tasty and all the items were quality. Overall great experience at the tea rooms especially because we sat in our own little nook nestled in some vines over the courtyard lattice. Very quaint.
