Stopped in here breakfast on the suggestion of our hotel reception. Received a genuine welcome as soon as we entered and had a lovely table for two in the sun overlooking the river in the indoor area.I chose the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, which was utterly delightful. Two properly poached eggs on a generous layer of smoked salmon, wilted spinach and english muffins. The hollandaise sauce was right on point, the spinach was ‘just’ wilted perfectly the way I like it. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was served in a bowl rather than on a plate, which made cutting into it slightly awkward (first world problem…).The coffee was very smooth with just a slight hint of bitterness…again just the way I like it.This is a terrific little cafe; perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast was a terrific view of the Rivercat dock in the Parramatta River.Very friendly staff rounded out a really pleasant breakfast that was good value for money.

My wife and I had an amazing breakfast at the Riverside cafe. The new owner greeted us on arrival from behind the coffee machine, the staff were all friendly and nothing was a problem to them. The food…. I had hot cakes with yogurt & berry compote, yogurt & berries on the side to make room for the Extra bacon, sausage and maple syrup on the hot cakes! It was awesome, and again not a problem for the staff to organise. My wife had the avo smash with poached egg, and again it was awesome too! Great coffee and a great fruit frappe to top it off. Located right next to the ferry it’s also convenient if your passing through.

Ideal place for a lazy breakfast with friends or a brunch date . They have seating arrangements inside n out. Serving is slow , well they don’t expect u to be in hurry . I’ve always had today’s specials which are Spl menu items for the day apart from regular items. I have never been disappointed. Coffee is okay . Servings size is huge . They give little twist to the recipes which I like. Below is egg Benedict with salmon and French toast with yogurt that we had last time .
