Always delicious, presentation of each dish are absolutely beautiful and very much so rich in flavour! It is situated very close to public transports, hence it is very convenient to come by and eat in here. The interior design is very cosy, comfortable and warm.I think the only downside is how small the area is, however it is definitely my favourite nearby restaurant!
I was seated nearest counter where people pick up take-away. All the staff and any customer going to or returning from the toilet went past my seat I should have charged a toll.Im not entirely sure what % of people who walked past my chair bumped into it but I would estimate 80%. It was quite irritating. The cutlery was unpleasant to use on 2 counts it has sharp edges and points on end and the knife is of such an unergonomic design that when you try to cut with it the blade rotates 90% to present its flat surface to the food. To stop this you need to grip the sharp pointy surfaces even tighter. On an evening when it was 14deg. outside the front door was open and it was cold 5 tables from the front door. The food and service were good.Cost for 2 modest mains, 3 glasses of wine and 1 desert was $71.
Wonderful flavours and taste, lovely kind service. Very dry and overcooked seafood. Restaurant is busy but that’s not any excuse. I wouldn’t recommend if you enjoy good food.
We had the:- red duck curry- salt and pepper squid- tom yum gong (spicy sour seafood stew)- roast pork with beans stir fry – taufo and veggie stir fry- pad see yew (friend rice noodle)First 4 were great. The last 2 was ok, nothing outstanding. But the lil one did enjoy the noodles – as do most kids whose parents don’t do stir fry at home.
Always delicious, so much flavour and good quality ingredients. Tons of gluten free options and it’s never a problem to ask for gluten free. Sticky rice is always great. They take a little longer than they say for takeaway but it’s worth the wait.
Very authentic and delicious food. Staff are very attentive and are quick to fill up water as you need. Exceptionally fast service and with a nice vibe to the overall resteraunt. I will certainly be returning!
Since moving back to The Hills it’s been difficult to find ANY cuisine that is up to the standard we were used to in the Inner West. The Seat however is the exception, in fact it’s better than all the Thai joints in Newtown and surrounding areas and up to par with the better Thai places in the CBD.Food is not street Thai, it’s more on the elegant side and they do it well. Service is great, nice decor. It’s always busy and deserves more kudos.
