This is your bog-standard Aussie Chinese. There were no chopsticks on the tables and no soy or hoi sin sauce offered. The Szechuan calamari has a good chilli kick but sadly the squid was chewy and the onion undercooked. The long soup was watery with a splash of sesame oil and a bit of old pork. The chicken chow mein came on a bed of fried noodles and the chicken was coated in suitably slimy cornstarch. The mixed entree was fried things – one sort of flat chicken thing. The drinks were quite pricy, too! This is a far cry from yum cha!Dont know quite how we came to be there 😀
