This is my local go-to joint if I want a filling meal. The servings are huge, and you can’t go wrong with the pre-set Classic meals. Pad Thai and Beef Pho are my personal favourites. It’s a bit of a Russian Roulette if you create your own mix since some meats and bases do not blend, but each to their own.It can get packed so be prepared to wait around during peak hour. There is plenty of seating however, and they do have the heaters going both outside and in. A definite recommend.
I love the malay noodles from here! They have such a nice rich satay flavour which makes me always order them. However, I once did order pad see ew as usually it is my favourite. It lacked in sauce therefore missed the flavour that pad see ew should have. Despite this, I am always happy to return and order the malay noodles.
Value for money but nothing very great. The concept is quiet nice. The staff was helpful and very courteous. We ordered1. Indian style veggie hokkein noodles: I didn’t like it much but my folks loved it2. Thai style chicken and veggie thin noodles: the taste was decentThe quantity was good but nothing extra-ordinary.
Can’t go past the best in Austral-Asian! About as authentic as an Ed-Hardy shirt from the dark parts of Bangalor road.Yet similar to a shirt that will shrink 3 sizes in it’s first wash, these meals still hit the spot for a short period and may even impress an extremely un-interesting date.Go the Chinese, hokkein, prawn and you can’t go wrong!
Stir crazy is always good. Can’t go wrong with take away noodles. I feel penriths store is slightly less… Enjoyable. They use less sauce than Windsor so it’s flavour isn’t as strong. The service is EXTREMELY SLOW. I waited over an hour to receive my one noodle dish. They have become beyond slow since they started online orders. I ate in that night but every time I get take away it’s always a half hour/ 45 min wait. This brings my rating down and also makes me only return once every 4 months rather than once a week lol.
Mixed Noodles. I have had several reasonable experiences and one poor one at Stir Crazy, Penrith. The Laksa was quite dreadful and the lesson seemed to be – don’t go when they are busy. Truth is we mainly go just for the Meal Deal for cinema tickets! If there were more eateries offering that deal on that stretch of town, we would eat there instead. But it is clean and the waiting time is not TOO bad mainly.
Slowest Service Ever!. I think I could have flown to China and made my own Noodles before I got mine at Stir Crazy! Is it that difficult to take an order then make it? not sure what was going on but somthing was not happening. Small portions and not worth the wait.
