Get your hands and bibs ready for the ultimate seafood feast! Kickin Inn in Petersham is offering a different experience when it comes to flavoured seafood! The sauces that you can choose from ranges from kajun (original) to Sha-bang (all spices in one!) and they come in bags. Also they have a selection of heat, I tried the 000 and it was pretty darn hot! Pictured: Garlic Butter Mussels, Garlic Kajun whole fresh prawns, Curly fries, Garlic bread, Dusted Calamari (awesome crunch!),Kajun Scampi Tail Butterfly (my fav!) & Sha-Bang baby squid rings. Thanks to @foodblogsmedia and @fcba.community for the invite!

We have never been to a place like kickin inn before. The structure and style of this place is an experience that you can’t really have anywhere else (in sydney anyway). There’s just something really special about someone bringing food in a bag to you. it’s very primal and you can get your hands dirty. you pick the sauce and you pick your seafood. We tried a variety of sides including curly fries, calamari and garlic bread.. all top notch. My recommendation is for you to actually dip the sides in the sauce. The sauces they served with the seafood just keep getting better and better. 000 is the hottest sauce, while it was hot you won’t be getting a stomach ache. We had scampi tail, prawns, muscles in garlic sauce and squid/calamari in a combo of all sauces. My god it was a saucy night. We were given bibs but nothing ended up landing on the bib (or myself). We used our hands to shell the prawns etc and made a pretty big mess on the table. The flavours were outstanding, the seafood was great we just had an excellent experience overall. We would give it a 4.5/5. We will definitely be going back and would recommend kickinn inn to family and friends. * kindly invited theweekendfoodieeats.blogspot.com

Located in the heart of Petersham, a short walk from the station, lies this new restaurant serving up fresh seafood in a delicious Cajun sauce developed over many years and perfected with 55 herbs and spices. The result of this is finger licking good sauces! There are about 3 different sauces used in this restaurant, all with a delicious kick and will keep you coming back to the food!

Kickin Inn is dedicated to offering a fun Louisiana style cajun seafood experience, right down to serving the seafood in a bag! Before Kickin Inn opened, the owners spent 3 years developing their 5 signature sauces which absolutely explode with flavour. The whole idea is to choose a seafood, choose a sauce and then dig in and enjoy (with your hands if you wish). We dined at Kickin’ Inn by invite, the dishes we recieved included:Kajun Scampi and potatoesLemon pepper SquidKajun Garlic Blue Swimmer CrabsGarlic Butter MusselsPrawns with the whole She-Bang, which is a mix of the other 4 sauces. Our faves were the sweet tender scampi, generous mussels and the lively Kajun sauce which contains a whopping 55 herbs. Make sure you have plenty of Garlic Bread to mop up every last drop. The menu also includes some tasty fried options. We had tempura calamari, prawns and crispy golden curly fries. It was all cooked to perfection and the calamari is melt in the mouth tender! The prices here are reasonable, we spotted a dozen oysters on the menu for under 20 bucks.Every bite is fresh and delicious. Kickin Inn is great for adventurous diners who love fresh seafood and big bold flavours. westernsydneyfoodblog.com

Just opened for about a month, this exciting venue definitely offers something one-of-a-kind and extraordinary. The venue is very spacious and can easily accommodate 100+ people.Every single dish that I had today was absolutely fresh and delicious. You might ask, whats inside the plastic bag? Well, thats why their motto is #tastetheexperience. The seafood will come freshly cooked inside the plastic bag so you can freely enjoy it with your hands, just like at home. They give out bibs too! The highlights for me were definitely their special sauces that were made out of 55 herbs!
