Been going back to Moon Koon for years now. I love their salt and pepper squid, beef fillet with chinese sauce, beef with wasabi mayo. The only negative thing is when you eat in, you need to be extra patient as this is a family run restaurant where both husband and wife will alternate between the kitchen, floor and taking orders for take away. We normally had to wait for a while to be served.
A refreshing change from the usual Portuguese in Petersham but sadly not all too good, particularly when you can do with much better Chinese in nearby Ashfield. The food is, at best, all right but the prices are fairly cheap. However, the service is just fine or hit-and-miss. The decor is simple. All in all, we would only return if we were nearby and looking for something different or we were tired of the usual Chinese in Ashfield.
Why the good reviews??. Ordered chicken chow mein and noodles were burnt and black which caused the whole dish to taste burnt. Last time I ordered I swore I would never go again but thought I’d give it a go against my better judgement
Sizzling Mongolian Lamb. Sizzling and tasty.09 Mar, 2015Delicious food. We have been looking for a good chinese restaurant in the inner west (Sydney) for some time. Finally we have found one. This restaurant has great food and good serving sizes. The staff are friendly but it is basic customer service, which is fine by us as it’s not a 5 star restaurant. Not many customers inside but we could tell one couple go there regularly. The restaurant does a roaring trade with takeaways. We’ll be back there again soon!
Dinner review. Love these guys . We get home deliveries from them at least twice a week. Comes within the hour , nice and hot. Their dishes are well portioned. Everything we had from them until this point has been delicious. Great value and convenience assuming you live within their radius.
Not to shabby. Food came right on time. Steamed dim sims need a bit of work but the mains were really good and the price wqs great.
Gross. Bland cheap food that was both over priced and bad quality. The customer service was rude and nonexistent which was amazing really. I am absolutely shocked that this place has any customers. My partner and I literally felt sick upon leaving with the bad taste of oil and a night wasted left in our mouths. The only saving grace was our good humor at the abysmal nature of it all. We shall not return. No stars.
