Petersham Kebab serve classic Turkish dishes at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, it doesn’t score on flavour but the service is fast and friendly.I would recommend the eggplant pide, the turkish sweets and the dips. I found these items to be quite flavourful and definitely worth a try. While they have a decent selection of pides and kebabs on offer, the flavour was lacking in many of the dishes. The kebab meat tends to be quite salty and doesn’t really hold much flavour. Also, the kebab wraps barely hold the filling, which makes for a messy meal if you aren’t careful. One of the few restaurants open till late, Petersham Kebabs is probably a late night option should you want a quick meal and not fussy on flavour.
OK chicken shwarma for the garbage Sydney typically produces, they have garlic sauce which is rare in the city, although I can barely taste it. One downside is mine is always wrapped horribly, also there’s usually a lot of lettuce. Come here every now and then as I work across the street.
Worst Kebab I have ever eaten. It’s not hard to get a kebab right however it seemed to be for these guys tonight. As soon as I bit into it I knew the cheese was off, the garlic sauce tasted nothing like garlic and it was just overall the most terrible tasting thing I have ever tried to eat. Would not recommend.
Lies or idiocy. I called this shop at 11:45pm from the Mercure hotel after a late flight and ask if they’re still delivering and they say yes. I then tell them the adress and the mug on the phone tells me it’s 30km away and that it’s too far. I say fair enough and hangup. After the call I use Google maps to calculate the distance and it’s below 7 km away. I call back again to explain and they tell me that they no longer deliver after midnight and that the drivers have gone home which means I’ve missed my window to order with them and every other takeaway in the area. Bloody idiots.
This is more a place of convenience than excellence, but the folded pides are great for the price and the felafel kebabs are solid. Good friendly service too.
Very ordinary kebab meat was re heated on the grill. Would have to be drunk for this one.
