Nice little local cafe, often overlooked for its Insta-famous neighbour, The Tiny Giant. The menu isn’t large but has the popular brunch classics. My friends went for the smashed avo with poached eggs on toast and the healthy breakfast bowl of cous cous, a poached egg and various greens. I decided on the Henny Penny, a poached chicken sandwich with aioli. We thought the food was solid and ideal for a light meal. My skim cap was also quite smooth with a good flavour.
Tiny cafe that competing with tiny giant few doors from them.Coffee:4/5Coffee by alchemy, done right!Barista knows how to handle coffee beans with respect.Food: super average Banoffee Waffle is one of the interesting dish, presentation is just pretty.Beef Hash was comforting, especially in a windy sydney weather like today. Benedict was not hitting my spot today, sauce was bought and serve from packages.Chicken fricassee treated with less respect.Sauce was runny, it can be thicker, chicken ( used thigh fillet) wasnt seared properly, no evidence of caramelization on the chicken. Served with buttered rice.Had a raw peanut butter slice too, nice but not sensational.
Great cafe in petersham! Very relaxed with friendly staff. The staff are quick to take your order and always checking in to make sure you have everything you need. The avocado on toast was great! Perfectly poached eggs.
Great place to catch a snack. Delicious sandwich and a great range of cakes. Friendly quick service. A little loud but cafe intimate cafe feel.
Nice little caf, good coffee and quick service. I had the smash avocado, which was nice, however the egg was a little undercooked. Will be back to try the selection of teas!
Located close by to Petersham Station. I stopped by here for a quick takeaway breakfast. The service is both nice and quick. It was quite busy with most tables filled inside and outside. I scanned the cabinets full of delicious cakes and pastries and settled on a Pecan Pie. The pie had a nice shortcrust base and a crunchy sweet filling. I also got a Chai Latte to go with it. I liked the blend they used.
My local cafe. Coffee and table service consistently great. Try the chef’s special of the day, often inexpensive and delicious. Busy in the mornings but good to sit in for an hour or so in the quiet afternoons. Closes at 3pm so don’t go too late. Best cafe in Petersham, beats out Brighton on the Corner, The Pig & Pastry, The Tiny Giant, Daisy’s and The Butcherbird easily.
