After reading numerous good reviews on the American bbq being served at Black Betty’s we decided to give it a try. 40min+ wait for the food. We ordered the beef brisket, beef short ribs and bourbon pork ribs. Beef brisket and short ribs could have been mistaken for beef jerky. Trying to cut through the pork ribs resulted in me nearly upending the table. Perhaps there being a birthday function on at the time of our visit affected the service, however the quality of the bbq left much to be desired.
If youre looking for American style BBQ then the Oxford Tavern will be your place! The meat is tender and moist, slow cooked to perfection! Ranging from pork belly, beef brisket and chicken wings, its absolutely flavoursome! The best part is that the pub provides board games so your friends will be entertained for hours! Good ol American BBQ at a reasonable price at the Oxford!
