Excellent service, but food very poor.. Both my partner and I decided to have a night out and selected this restaurant for our fine dining experience.We had excellent service from the man on the door, the barman who completed my membership and the waitress who took our order.After selecting our wine and meals we were left waiting for nearly 1 12 hours for our Entre..During this time we were offered a free bread roll (great idea)The entre was received and was outstanding and everything I had hoped for.But, then, another 1 hour wait for the main meal!!The meal arrived and I was looking forward to tasting it.How DISSAPOINTED I was…My meal and my partners had so much salt it was overwhelming.A total disaster..After complaining to our lovely waitress, we were given an apology and the offer of a free desert..We dont eat desert and kindly declined the offer.I then received the bill and seen that we had NO offer of compensation for such a POOR meal.We then went to pay for our meal of $145 and still NO OFFER of compensation.. NOT even a 10% reduction (which would have been appreciated)..We had all intentions of having a night out there and having a few drinks, but that effort in the restaurant soured our night and we went home.I have even joined the club, but will probably NEVER EVER visit again.I dont like giving bad reviews online, but after how poorly we were treated, I will find it hard not to tell people of this experience.
Delightful meal had here while travelling for work. You can eat restaurant meals in the restaurant or in the main club area or on the verandah. It all looks out over the beautiful Brisbane Waters. The club is a typical daggy sailing club but the grilled barramundi and salad with house tartare and chips I had was definitely restaurant standard. Almost restaurant prices too, but great value for excellent food. Menu selection was impressive too… but I chose something fairly basic. I had my meal on the verandah, great view but spoiled by the smokers corner out here. Lose the smokers,and this place would be a total gem. I could have sat in the restaurant replete with table cloths and aircon but I was wanting some salt air and the tinkle of stays on masts!!! Fortunately there was a good breeze and I was upwind of the smokers.
The best meal I have ever had at a Central Coast restaurant! The flavours and presentation of the meals were to die for!
