My partner and I were excited to eat at the Aquablu Bistro, in fact, the night before our visit, we were greeted (by the manager or owner) and assured that we would have a great experience at the restaurant. The next day my partner and I decided to go on our date, however, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with ‘What do you want?’, uncomfortably my partner answered that we wanted to eat. The waitress (with a British accent) became even more rude throughout the evening. She would answer us in a smart manner and would make the whole situation awkward and uncomfortable, she ruined the mood of the night for my partner and I. We decided to leave before we even got any food brought out to us as we were unhappy with the way in which we were greeted and spoken to. Best decision we made was to leave and go eat at another restaurant who deserved paying customers. I visit Nelson Bay annually and will not be returning to this restaurant!
Ignorant, rude and insensitive. We have been here a few times, spent alot of money and yet our last night here in Nelson Bay we decided to have dinner here but walked out before dinner arrived. My son has 18 food allergies and they couldn’t accommodate him the day before so for dinner we got him a pizza from another shop. They wouldn’t allow my son to sit and eat with us, they told us he had to sit outside. I begged with them just to allow it this time but they didnt care. My son is 14 years old, he was in tears, as a mother it broke my heart. My son didnt choose to be born with allergies, he’s had allergies since 9 months old. Thanks to ignorant people like this bistro my son feels like an outcast.. Will never step foot in here again. Money hungry, rude, arrogant low lives. Hooe they go out of business.
It was the worst dish I ever had, I waited over 30 min for my stake to be served. It was cold and the rest of the food too. The waitress told us the were other tables and they were very busy. Â There were only 3 tables including ours, so if they can’t serve 3 tables and it takes to serve cold food 30 min, I think it’s not worth to eat there.When I paid, they new I was not happy about my food, they did not even asked me if the foods was good.
Coffee ok, muffin stale. Staff admitted it was yesterday’s & charged us anyway although left uneaten. NOT going back!!!1 this is the worst attitude we have experienced up the east coast this year.
The waitress seem disoriented and disorganised. They charged us for extra chilli flakes and took so long to get it. It’s freezing cold in Port Stephens and they serve us with chilled water and when asked for room temperature water she had to think twice before getting it. So over priced. Bad service. Avg food.
