Just stopped this morning for coffee and Devonshire tea $6 deal. It was nice, but the coffee was weak and the cream was very sweet, it actually over powered the jam. Scones were pretty good, seemed home made. Overall about $6 worth.
Don’t be fooled by the daggy decor (although they about to have a refit). Chose this place purely for the decent kids menu. Pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh and delicious and clearly made in house, including the sticky date pudding. Better prices than the fancier places next door. Great option in the bay.
We ordered the seafood platter and while it looked fantastic it all tasted like it had been frozen and wasn’t very fresh at all. The fried seafood had a thick coating of batter and was very oily. Have no complaints about the service however, the man who waited on us was lovely.
Great coffee and service. Happy to go back any time.
Nice option for breakfast. Reasonably priced. Friendly service. We both had the veggie stack and just added on some scrambled eggs and baked beans. Yum!The only downside was the bread. We change the Turkish to sourdough and it was a bit stale and the coffee was so so. Would go back though.
