Previous restaurants/cafes in this exact location have been a bit jinxed by bad management etc so we’re glad to see Kelp open with a fresh start & young local staff. It has great ’beach’ style decor and is in a stunning location right on Shoal Bay with lovely food.We enjoyed everything we had here and would return again. We did wait far too long for breakfast & had to say something but it was followed up promptly. In its first week of operation we were happy to let it slide.For ‘Kelp’ to be successful the new owners & staff have to embrace its local trade. They need to be out there talking to customers, getting to know them & having a chat & a laugh. If it’s purely technical and service it won’t work.Would we return, yes because we want to see local business successful. If the owners and staff put the hard yards in with their customers it’ll pay off.
