Food is great but it’s not a place for a cheap night out. $20 for a Thai beef salad?! There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that do Thai food just as well but half the price. Always pleasant and attentive service.
Harry White. The restaurant has a nice ambiance but gets a bit too hot on those humid nights. The staff are always friendly although the manager can be a little brusque at times.
Best beef salad and prompt delivery. Great range on the menu. Have never been disappointed and reasonable value.
Inconsistent. A companion and I ate in the Hughs street outlet last night. Note the following.Entre duck pancake was refrigerator cold in patches.Penang curry was served in metal dish and was hot and very tasty, I would rate it as very good.Chicken with garlic and pepper was served in a large cold china dish and the actual dish was tepid. There was absolutely no detectable garlic or pepper. We were hungry and ate about half of it. when we eventually attracted the attention of the staff they went to tell the chef who apparently said it was made as normal but if we wanted it specially made next time we should ask. NO acceptance of the fact that it was flavourless and no apology, only the inference that the two of us didn’t know what we were talking about. My dinner companion lives on Macleay no more than three minutes away and we both eat out locally about five nights a week.Wont be going back, way too many good places within a stones throw. They just need to learn about customer service.
John from Adelaide. My wife and I visited this restaurant on 5th February for dinner. We were taken by its overall presentation and relaxed atmosphere. The young waiter and waitress carried out their duties with a quiet efficiency.Last but not least we had two of the best meals we have had in Thai restaurants, namely Penang Curry and stir fried chicken with cashew nuts etc.The portions were generous and the flavours superb. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone.
Shockingly Good. I went for lunch and was blown away by the quality and the price. Authentic Thai food. Great relaxed atmosphere. Quality furnishings. Great food.
Pricey and just OK.. Thai is in abundance in Sydney, and even more so in Bondi so you can pretty much guarantee a good meal. I dropped in here for a meal last night and after seeing the prices, $16-$18 for your usual thai favourites, I presumed they must be bigger servings or have some other point of difference. We ordered the soft shell crab in plum sauce and pad see ew. Both were no bigger in size then usual and I have had a far better pad see ew a lot cheaper.Unfortunately there was no point of difference to justify the pricing, add to that every table surrounding us outside being put away leaving us sitting in the middle of sidewalk, I’ll go down the road next time.
