$12 lunch special of fish and chips and spinach ricotta ravioli. Can’t complain. Fried food was crispy. Adequate flavour in the pasta sauce. Serving size was decent. Simple and exactly what you would expect of regular pub food.

Stopped in here for a quick bite before heading up the coast. On offer was a $12 lunch special, I chose the fish and chips. Pretty standard pub meal and well worth the $12 because it was quite a large serving and left satisfied. Lacking atmosphere, however convenient location for those travelling North on the highway.

Stopped in here for a quick pit stop and bite to eat before heading North on the M1. Nothing suitable on the $12 lunch menu for a vegetarian so opted for a grilled haloumi, rocket, beetroot and sweet potato salad (with haloumi on the side so my partner could pick at). After a quick game of pool our meals came out and the plate was chipped which didn’t impact the taste of the dish however just as I was almost finished a small insect came from the salad and decided to join us for lunch. No proper atmosphere, will only come back for a toilet stop when heading out of the city to go north.

Dropped in here plenty of times for a Saturday evening drink. We actually have eaten here a few times too. The food is decent but it’s not the main focus for the hotel and it’s not really set up for this. It’s a great place to have a drink though and one that we will continue to visit! sirandmladydineout.com

Great to see some of the old favourites back on the recently re-vamped menu. Great quality, tasty food at a reasonable price.
