Just opened for about a month, this venue offers Japanese-French fusion dishes.I loved the Japanese influenced decor and the vibe that was a bit romantic with dim lighting throughout.By looking at their menu, I found their dishes pretty unique and the fact that they use uncommon ingredients (for me, at least), got me excited.Came here with a group of foodies, we started with the entree. It looked sensational and exciting even though the taste was a bit bland to my liking. It did highlight the freshness and natural flavours of the elements very well.As for the favourite snacks/mains: salted cod croquettes, spicy soft shell crab fritters, roasted lamb rack and roasted duck breast. We finished the meal with the desserts. They were bang on! Both the green tea fondant and hojicha creme brulee were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly.
EIJU Fusion Japanese dining Situated in Pyrmont, this place has unique Japanese and French combinations that tastes amazing! Upon entering this restaurant, there are intricate pottery bowls and Japanese wines that give the restaurant a personalized feel. The chef actually makes the serving plates himself! Highlight dishes I had from the night was the Salted Cod Croquettes. Inside these croquettes is the smoothest potato mash ever with a crumb coating. I could keep eating these . The dish that impressed me was the Salmon with Blood orange. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce didnt overpower this dish. The lamb was also lovely and tender! Thankyou FCBA for the invite!
I tried out Eiju, a new Japanese fusion restaurant in Pyrmont. Their lunch menu looked appetizing and I couldnt decide what to order. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering the wagyu beef with green tea soba served on hot kawara tile. It was delicious, but be careful as the tile is extremely hot and make sure you stir the noodles to avoid turning too crispy from the hot tile.
