10km coastal hike in the north & then catch the ferry back to the city in time for a froffy chop at Peg Leg :D!! Would never of found this place if it wasn’t for the yelp event, Massive thanks to Ben & the Yelp team for finding super cool places like this :)!!On the inside was a of course pirate themed with a guy behind the bar with a black beard & the Triangular pirate hat greeting people in french lol. Straight away i was like damn how long you guys been here & he said 1 year 1 month & 14 days on wesnday so today would be the 18th day :D. They had heaps of old flags drapped around the place, pirate memorabilia & cool old style ports, whiskys & beer in a new school wooden keg :). They were serving a free glass of Gage Rd Brewing Co beer :). When I go out with the boys I’m normally drinking what every one else drinking & normally just force it down but this beer was so smooth & tasty to drink so was more than happy to down as much as my body could allow haha!!They had a really tasty antipasto board, calamari & potato chips were super tasty aswell.. still wondering what salt they had sprinkled on it. . Goood excuse i think to go back for another bowl ;)!!They only had the one dish marked as their dessert.. which was.. a deep fried lammy :), for $12 it was 4 pieces of Lammy with a scoop of ice cream in between each topped with fresh berries :D.As per the other reviews I’ve read they do great coffee & great tasting brekkie so i got to drop by one morning, hopefully i can get the chips aswell :D!!

Went here when it first opened and coming back ever since. Very nice staff, cosy atmosphere and good food – especially the sunday roast. Nice new addition to Pyrmont!

I stopped in at peg leg for a beverage and a small bite. The owners are from the UK bar scene and are doing some cool stuff with the food and beverages they are serving. They are having fun making crazy cocktails and even have a deep fried lammington on the menu.I tried the chips and the antipasto, both very nice. I also enjoyed a beer from Gage rd Brewing Co. Will be nack for more. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

Very nice looking place, just a pity staff is not treating all customers equally….It is a pity, it could have been THE best bar in Pyrmont

Perfectly balanced drinks, quality banter with the barkeeps, and seriously good hearty meals/sharing plates. I never drank cocktails until this place opened right on my doorstep, and now I scarcely go a few days without popping in to try the latest concoction or just have a drink and a chat (not to mention the morning coffee on the way to work). If you’re ever in the neighbourhood – or even vaguely close to the neighbourhood – check out Peg Leg for a refreshing change in the Pyrmont bar scene.

Delicious cheap food with friendly service, great atmosphere and unique setting. Whole place has wood trimmings and table settings. Highly recommended for casual drinks after work or boozy dinner over a few hours. $5 mussels on Mondays is a bargain

Drinks, food and decor are amazing! Also the the barman / waiter, who I now realise is one of the owners was a really nice guy. Who makes a great drink, I guess that’s Milk and Honey. I really can;t over emphasise how good the drinks were. AND I could afford them. A few things aren’t quite right though that make me worry Peg Leg will struggle. The music was a ‘teenager-in-the-90s’ mix of Eddie Vedder, emotional Tea Party, a metal/folk rendition of Grieg’s Hall of the Mountain King and a few sea shanties. It seemed at odds with what is otherwise such a well put together place. Ditto with the pirate theme. I mean, it’s fine in name and as an inspiration on the menu, but I can’t help but feel the three point hats and calling people me hearties might keep people away. Not me though! Best place for a drink in Pyrmont by far.
