Great location but it must be the windiest bar in Sydney. So much so that I can’t have more than one drink before I have to go downstairs. Disclaimer: I am old af. The snack food is quite delicious though.
We were early for our dinner engagement in the Star so made an impromptu decision to come here for a drink. I am so glad about that decision. The view from here to Darling Harbour and beyond is simply stunning. It was just after 6pm when the sun was setting. The buildings at Barangaroo on the other side of the water seemed to be glittering in the reflection of the sunset. The price for two drinks are $18 which by all standard is on the pricey side, but it’s the price to pay for this breathtaking view. An Asian lady was in the DJ box and she played some pretty good tunes. It was very atmospheric, I was almost reluctant to leave when dinner time came around. In my mind I was already planning my next visit, it could well be a great location for birthday party or other social gatherings. Can’t wait to be back. thernbdiary.com
Sky Terrace at The Star overlooks the Sydney City and Harbour. A large outdoor lounges and tables. Located on Level 3, you will need to take the escalators towards Marquee and continue one level up. They have a Moet Chandon tent, a full service bar, food tents and areas that you are able to gamble as well. DJ’s on most nights. The only thing that worries me, is that if it rains there is only a limited area that has cover, so that does not leave much room for everyone. Great place to have drinks on a lazy sat and sunday on a sunny day as it would be a spectacular sunset.
Great rooftop bar at The Star. The views are the best thing going for this place and I love the open layout. Staff are efficient and friendly and food is good.
Came to sky terrace for the Sydney festival closing party, having never been there before I was amazed at just how beautiful it is! The ambience was phenomenal and the views are breathtaking of our beautiful Sydney city. Bars are at each corner of the terrace and the canaps were yummy (nothing to rave about, but still yummy nonetheless). Perfect spot for a couple of drinks on a summer’s night.
Super cool terrace on top of the Casino. I love the vibe and atmosphere of the place. Great during the summer, not so good on cold windy days (but luckily for those kind of days there are many other options in Sydney). I’ve been there a couple of times for drink with friends and it has always turned out to be a fun night. The cocktails are good, it’s a big terracw with lots of tables, great even for a birthday celebration with friends, but most of all, i love the view of the city…
Nice open air ambience bar with great views, complete with loungy furniture and even blankets if it’s too windy… Often has live band or a DJ playing a mix. There are also theme nights with a selection of food stalls related to the theme, making this a colourful and festive bar.
