Gluten free toast available. Ordered a poached egg with my avocado on gf toast. Well seasoned and good portion size – lots of avo and two pieces of toast. Nice coffee and the waterfront location is great for people and puppy watching. Service with a smile. No complaints from me.
Very rude Asian waitress. Sighing when got asked about the menu and she made a grumpy face. Unprofessional for a person who works in the hospitality industry. Took our payment twice intentionally. Had to go back and clarify to get our cash refunded back. One of our family friends was regular there. Was surprised and disappointing to be treated so rude. Expensive price and food was not even that good.
Not a bad way to spend the afternoon unless you have a strong fear of pigeons as their very not shy of people:) More than enough to share between 3-4, we’re quite the gluts and we still only managed to make a half way dent into this…
The food at Zebra Lounge is pretty good and the location is fantastic. The staff are nice, often quite busy. The only really downfall is the price – quite expensive.
Disappointed . Booked a table asked for one on the sun about a month before Father’s Day was and booked for six people . Even called and requested this and called to check my booking in the morning . Was given a table for four people ( squashed for six people) on the side without the sun. Very upsetting as this was the main reason I booked. Deserts came out fifteen minutes after coffees . Just upsetting especially how we were seated with a reservation and people without reservations were seated in front of us .
Terrible service and extremely rude staff. This was my second time at the Zebra lounge and was treated both times by an extremely terrible staff memeber , who seemed to be the manager. Never going back again.
Glorious sunny Sunday, water on White Bay is sparkling, and all is good with the world. And this place is packed. The maitre’d has a voice fit for SmoothFM, and a calm which is effusive. That said, service is disjointed.Food is good. Not outstanding, but good. My poppy seed crusted tuna tataki was very fresh, but whilst pretty, the tuna was overwhelmed by the density of the poppy seeds. The avocado/Mayo/tomato mushy sauce was lovely. The prawns with rice noodles looked good, but was bland and all a bit tasteless. I do hate having to peel my own prawns – the prawn heads make you falsely believe you’re getting more than you are. Instead, peel the prawns and throw a few more on the plate. This is lazy gastronomy. The meatballs were tasty, although another piece of bread is necessary.
