I am honestly a huge fan of greek pastry! Came here on a weekend and it was packed! It was abit hard to order as the food items were listed in greek with English descriptions of what they were. There were long lines but moved fairly quickly. The custard pastry and four cheese was probably my favourite! The rest were ok! The baklava milkshake wasnt outstandingly amazing. Ive had better ones. However the service here was quite good.
Busy, day before Greek Easter, so was expected. We waited in line for our take away. Got some cheese triangles and wanted some spanakopita but they had already run out at 10am. That sux. Probably one of their busiest days of the year and to be run out that soon was huge disappointment. The custard and filo dessert I tried was amazing Everything else nice but still very let down especially cause I came for 6 of them. Place was selling lots of traditional Greek biscuits, cakes and bread. There were lots of people on, place had a dj and was pumping. Nice addition to the area. More organisation with hot food qualities needed
Awesome new bakery/cafe serving up Greek goodies! There is such an energetic buzz and yes, there was a queue at 11am on Sunday but worth it. Must order the baklava milkshake! Ekmek kataifi and Millefeuille were both so indulgent and lots of choices with the savoury pastries too. Tip: Takeaway option available if you dont want to queue.
Ramsgate, welcome your new modern Greek-Australian patisserie The Good Filo , co-owned by Daikos and Head Baker Kiriakos Metaxotos. Its all on show here, a wonderful selection of handmade Hellenism-inspired pastries, bougatses, tsourekia, and other traditional Greek treats crafted from long-standing family recipes. Bringing real traditional Greek desserts to your taste buds, theres not much not to love.Everything at the Good Filo is made in-house with the same love and care Greeks are renowned for in the hospitality industry. Beware though because you wont want to order just one thing such is the amazing selection to choose from, for me the standout dish was the Bougatses, custard cooked to perfect with nice crisp flaky pastry and just the right amount of syrup….Expect a line up depending on the time of day you arrive but the team are professional and try and make it as seamless as possible.
Popular new Greek patisserie and eatery located on Rocky Point Road in Ramsgate. So popular in fact, that there was a queue the Thursday afternoon we paid a visit.I’d been forewarned to try one of everything so came prepared with my appetite along with a small group of friends. Everything we tried was fabulous – ekmek kataifi, galaktoboureko, merenda (nutella) eclair, chocolate profiterole dessert cup, galatopita, and some savouries including the Philadelphia filled pastries, koulouria and pastitsio which the kids literally hoovered. And when your Greek friend comments that the galaktoboureko is as good as her mum’s, then you know it’s authentic. My only disappointment was that they were sold out of their croissantaboureko. On the bright side, it gives me another reason to visit again, and to try their baklava milkshake.
