Have had take away and eaten in at Blue Monkey randwick and can’t find fault with it. The entrees like spring rolls are fresh and the duck rolls are so good. Curries excellent and stir fries never disappoint – this place is one of my absolutely fave restaurants. You will love this place 🙂

Blue Monkey is actually one of my fave Thai restaurants to dine in for a date nightReally lovely ambience. It was great for me and Leon to pop by after a lovely swim at Bronte Beach or to head out for movie night afterwards hehe.We ordered the standard dish we love, Yellow Curry and Pad Kee Mao. And for entree, we tried the Deep Fried Prawn in dessicated Coconut. Just delicious. Crunchy on the outside and just nice.Our Yellow curry was served with beef. The yellow curry sauce is sooo good, we savoured every single drop. Pad Kee Mao is one of my favourite stir fry dish. The green fruity things on the first image is actually green peppercorn. Edible and not as peppery as you would think. Pad Kee Mao was served with flat noodles with chicken, vegetables and chilli. The dish is completely different from what you’d normally get from Pad Thai. Can’t wait to return to try other dishes at Blue Monkey! And loving the service. The staff is super attentive and you can always ask them what’s good hehe.
This is a regular of ours, our favourite is the stir fry with yellow curry sauce and chicken. We also like the pad kee Mao with peppercorns. Nice modern interior and good service.
Best thai in the Spot – and there’s some tough competition. Lovely staff, very friendly and their food is consistently fantastic. Go there – you won’t regret it
This place is very, very good. The decor is good, the menu extensive, the prices are reasonable, it’s BYO and the food is … seriously, seriously good. Ok so this is on a sample size of one visit, by one old dude (who’s been to Thailand a few times), so statistically exercise some caution – but every table around me seemed pretty happy too. The menu goes beyond a lot of Thai menus with some Chinese /viet influences showing. The serving sizes are BIG. My dishes tonight were prawn dumplings, red duck curry and black sticky rice for dessert. More than half the duck dish is going home with me in a container – just too much for me in one sitting. And BYO!! Come, eat, enthuse 😉
