This is a wonderful little find near Queens Park/Bondi Junction. They really punch above their weight as from the outside it looks like a cute little quaint cafe, but you have to go for dinner. They have a fabulous ‘feed me’ menu for $68, and for January only, they have a BYO special where you can bring your wine AND they will construct a ‘feed me’ menu around your wines. What a wonderful idea! We brought some interesting bottles: a Fiano, a Chardonnay, a Shiraz, and even a sake. And they matched the food to our wine perfectly. We had a couple of our favourites from previous visits (e.g., stracciatella), with mostly new dishes we hadn’t seen before. They were lovely and accommodated our dietary requirements (some pescatarians, some omnivores) and we loved every single dish. You can tell that the staff enjoy working there. The open kitchen is a bonus, and if you grab a seat at the counter, you can watch them in action. They have an interesting list of cocktails and wine too. I can’t recommend Clove Lane highly enough.
