Been here several times and they are consistently great! But the highlight of our last visit was their crunchy flower, which is a deep fried parmesan cheese coated cauliflower. It is their new menu, hope that they will keep it permanently! It tastes like chicken nuggets but lighter, soooo good! Last but not least, they really know how to make things crispy and crunchy, anything!
There’s plenty of crunch in the Dr Krunch fried chicken. The $43 family meal combo is brilliant value for a whole chicken, six crunchy wings, two serves of shoestring chips, a surprisingly delicious kale slaw and soft drinks, plus your choice of three of their signature sauces (choose from original, cheesy melt, red spicy and tasty mild) which are served in reusable vials. Add a side of battered and fried mushrooms and you have a decent meal for four adults for just over $50.
Dr Krunch is a fried chicken place that serves some of the most crunchiest food you can find located about a two minute walk from Royal Randwick Shopping Centre! They serve the greatest variety of food ranging from fried chicken to burgers, lotus chips and even fried mushroom which has to be my absolute favourite. They also offer a combination of sweet, savoury and spicy sauces that you could add on top to create a little twist to their already flavourful dishes. If you’re up for a challenge you might want to ask the staff to try out their Sambal sauce which is one their more spicier sauce options made a mixture of chilli peppers. I would definitely be coming back to try the other ranges of food they offer.
The prices seem lower than the good fried chicken places but the roll was smaller and the chicken was so bad that it should be priced more in line with KFC (the .99 pricing is just another reason to hate them). The batter on the several pieces in the roll was soggy and the chicken inside was really really stringy and hard to eat.
