The jalfrezi chicken curry was terrible. All you taste upfront is chili, there are no subtle spice tastes in the background. It was greasy and the cooks didn’t even bother removing pieces of bay leaf and dried chili from the curry. The price is also absolutely ridiculous…$5 i can accept but this was $16.
This place will get a different rating depending how inebriated you are. If you stop in on your way home from a night out you’d probably rate this place a 5. The crowd here is always interesting; whether they are hoeing into a kebab, scoffing down a curry or are elbow deep in chips with McDonnell’s curry(an Irish staple). The vege samosa is always a favourite and the kebabs are good too. On this occasion they were out of beef, so I put in a request for butter chicken. The guy behind the counter suggested some mayo and chilli sauce, why not? A bit of a revelation, pretty good. Keep in mind I had a few beverages under the belt. I ended up waiting twenty minutes before I had to leave for an emergency. They would not provide complimentary to make up for their incompetence, so I didn’t purchase the food. The place looked shabby and the food at the counter looked old and unappetising. There are plenty of other places to eat in Randwick. Don’t waste your time and money here.
Don’t even bother. I didn’t even get a chance to eat from here. They apparently did not receive my menulog despite the invoice I had. After 45 mins of numerous phone calls between their other store of trying to work out what they’ll do I just gave up. I DONT recommend this place to anyone and I did not receive a refund unfortunately
Simon Food Favourites review. Tried the Hot Chips ($3 small) which were cooked to order and quite nice. My friends Chicken Burger was well liked. Menu is reasonably priced and service was friendly and welcoming. Tables were clean and decor is simple.
