The donut itself was rather average, the only star being the truffle (sadly). Service was also a bit disappointing. Despite there being seating, its only available on weekends for some magical, unknown reason. Unfortunately, on the day I purchased this donut, it was somewhat windy. There was only a rickety pink seat outside in the wind for me to eat my donut. The icing sugar blew everywhere. In my face. On my clothes. It was a sad and horrible experience eating this donut outside in the wind; all whilst a couple of tables and chairs laughed at me behind locked glass doors.
Ube Custard Donut : GoodVanilla Custard Donut : Great Actually met these guys at the Sweet Expo and the line for it was insane. Thought the donuts would blow me away but they were okay. Hate to say that it tasted like your average donut. I love the play with the different flavours which is something you wont find anywhere else. Still good though.
I came here after seeing posts of the ube(purple yam) donuts on instagram. I live about 40 minutes drive from Redfern so you can imagine my disappointment after arriving with high hopes for a donut. The donutitself is quite big and the dough is nice and thick. There is a generous amount of filling however it lacked flavour. I couldn’t taste the ubefilling and it became sickening to eat so I threw it away after a few bites. Refusing to let it ruin my experience, I went back to the Donut Papi store and purchasedthe leche flan donut. The leche flan was a lot better than the ubein comparison to flavour and taste. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit Donut papi again but if you live in the surrounding area or happen to past by, then the leche flan donut is worth a try.
Had been craving doughnuts for ages and decided to stop here. Got two more traditional flavours: the strawberry milkshake and the yuzu-passion fruit special (which was my favourite). Also got the white chocolate truffle doughnut (which cost $10) which was a definite experience. Id like to go back to try a wider variety of flavours. Also, the doughnut itself is good, decent amount of icing to dough ratio, but the dough is quite dense.
Looking for some of Sydneys best donuts? Well look no further. With a Filipino influence to a lot of their flavour and products, get ready for something delicious every time.Baked fresh in store everyday youre always guaranteed freshness. I usually make my way down when theyve got specials on. For example, mi goreng donuts and halo-halo!
Reminded me of the bid plump juicy donuts served up in the US, theyve got some flavor packed crazy combinations sure to please a lot of people. Pricing is a little steep but so are the donuts
I can honestly say this blew mind mind when I took the first bite. This donut exceeded my expectation. The donut itself was very soft. Pandan lovers need to try this as the filling was not too sweet or sickening. Highly recommended !
