You can tell that the place has been around for many years – they still use handwritten invoices and some of the decor is a bit dated. However, our party of about 20 people were very well looked after for my friend’s 30th birthday. It is BYO so you can save a few pennies on drinks. We ordered the $35 banquet per person and were absolutely stuffed. Breads, dips, kebabs, pastries, stuffed vine leaves, cabbage rolls, salad, baklava and coffee. Made for a great night if you aren’t looking to spend a fortune for a good feed. We thought the food was never going to end!
First Lebanese restaurant I have ever visited from many years ago. We purchased a $29 voucher which came with a variety of things, of which I only remembered rice wrapped in pickled vine leaves and lamb skewers. Personally I wasn’t massively into them. The seating downstairs looked very comfy with large colorful cushions and lounges. However it was a completely different vibe upstairs- it was terribly dated, grimey, and dingy. The fluorescent lights were really harsh in your eyes. It was probably one of the shabbiest restaurant I’ve visited. The voucher was a good value for substantial amount of food but nothing else warranted a return. thernbdiary.com
Went here for a birthday and got the set menu. Ate myself into a coma in a relaxing middle eastern vibe. Really enjoyable meal with friendly staff. Would recommend the set menu, great value also with the BYO!
Whenever I am in the city I try & find an excuse to detour through Surry hills to get to this amazing food. I highly recommend the Super Banquet which gives you a little bit of everything & the food just keeps coming.
Not only is this the best Lebanese restaurant in my books, it’s one of my favourite restaurants in general. The owners are lovely, the food is so tasty and fresh and the price you pay is excellent value . Don’t get put off by the inside decor, it’s better to have great food than all show and leaving a restaurant ripped off and hungry. Coriander potatoes are a must order
Lady Fingers. Meat wrapped in thin crispy pastry27 Apr, 2015LOVE IT!. I went to Emad’s for a staff night out. The girls really enjoyed the vibe of the Restaurant. We got the Banquet and there was so much food that we took food home. My favourite are the lady fingers and the hommus. One of the girls is a very picky eater and she even was impressed by the variety of different dishes. BYO too with no cork fee so we all thought that was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. We got a private room and weren’t forgotten about. I absolutely loved it and we decided we would be going back there for our next staff night out.
We absolutely loved Emads! We went there for a friends birthday. The food was amazing. Staff were friendly and we were always served with a smile. We were so surprised for the amount of food we ordered, it really is great value for money. I would highly recommend Emads and will be going back for sure!!
