Great venue with choice of tables and cosy couches, recommend their Pink Power cocktail if you like vodka and berries, the fat angel burger and Carvo for dessert…(caramelised vodka from South Africa). Their also have very nice salads. Service is friendly and professional and they have good taste in music. Perfect for dates or groups. Highly recommend this place.
I love the fat Angel beef burger… Delicious!!! The manager Randy is friendly and very helpful. Service is great… Will be returning very soon!!!!
Went to this place recently and felt the need to spread the word… great venue with a great vibe! I will be returning for sure. Also the Surry Hill Side Cocktail is a must try!
Went here the other night. The Fat Angel burger is awesome and the place has a really nice vibe. Would definitely recommend this place. Cant wait to try more on the menu
Stopped in here with my partner after dinner in Newtown for a couple of cocktails, realised upon paying the bill that I had left my card at the previous restaurant who wouldn’t answer their phone.Explained the situation to the manager, asked if he could take the details of my card manually through the eftpos machine which he refused and then offered over my licence to keep over night while I grab my card tomorrow to come back and pay the $60 bill.My licence is expired, offered over many other forms of ID for him to also keep for reassurance and also was happy for him to call the police as I have nothing to hide and we actually live right next door to the restaurant (he could watch us walk home through the window if he wanted).None of this was good enough and he became increasingly aggressive, demanded me to leave my brand new iPhone over night which I was not keen on doing as he appeared to be very excessively agitated and quite scary to be honest – I didn’t trust this man at all.Eventually he accepted all forms of my id while yelling at us as we left the restaurant in tears.Unbelievable.The restaurant is mediocre at best, but the service and manner of the brand new bar owner was appalling. Losing your card – it’s happened to the best of us and is an extremely embarrassing situation already. This was horrifying. I work in hospitality and would never put a customer through this.
Best chicken burger I have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked which is hard to find. Beer battered chips were also a stand out! Service was great also. Will definitely be going back.
Really friendly staff and service was great. I had the fat angel beef burger and was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Beef patty was perfectly cooked and the bread was so fresh and charred to perfection. Beer battered chips were also a treat. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and will be back again!
