I haven’t had Italian out in a while and Isaac did not disappoint. It looks like its a quite new restaurant with minimal reviews/photos so I didn’t really know what to expect. Firstly, the layout of the restaurant was really nicely set out, very modernised and sleek with great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, could be a little more attentive. Menu, not huge but it had enough variety! We got 3 entrees, 3 mains and a side and were completed stuffed! The white fish ceviche which was nice and fresh, I would’ve liked a little more zest/limey taste and a little more fish incorporated into it. You can’t go wrong with the calamari fritti and homemade garlic aioli, lightly pattered and the calamari were cooked just right. Three cheese arancini dipped in the subtle blue cheese sauce was SOOOO yum! I couldn’t get enough of the blue cheese sauce and I’m not normally a fan of blue cheese. The sweet potato side was also really tasty with different elements of freshness, crunch, creaminess. Out of the three pastas: Vongole (clams), lamb ragu and Bucatini all Amatriciana .. I think my favourite were the lamb ragu and the Bucatini all Amatriciana. The lamb ragu was super flavoursome but not too much and the Bucatini all Amatriciana, not sure what’s in it but it was soooo smokey and delicious I had to go back for more! The servings of the pasta look small but the plates are quite deep so they’re actually really generous with the portions!I was really impressed, decently priced and I would definitely come back again. nibbleandwander.com
