I would give 7 stars if I could!!! Quality delicious food, friendly staff, excellent service, reasonable prices. Incredibly pleased with this place. We come at least once a week. Keep up the great job.
This place was packed at lunch so figured it must be good and have a go. After ordering it took 15 minutes to get a simple pad Thai pork because they repeatedly forgot my order. When it did come the food was basically ok but certainly not something to line up for. They need to sort out their kitchen to handle the capacity and stop treating customers poorly. Oh and as an extra kick in the pants they didn’t bother to include cutlery or chopsticks with the takeaway so hopefully enjoy eating with your hands.
I tried the garlic pepper crispy pork belly and it was good. Crispy, filling and served with steaming rice. I wish there was more than six tiny pieces of crispy pork though. Note: it says $9 on the menu but they were asking me for $10 cash. Their $8 lunch special is cash only btw or they charge a higher price by card. The way it works is you order first and pay at the counter and then seat yourself after. There’s also a table close to a power outlet so you can charge your phone while eating.
I had a green chicken curry and it was great. With cashew, it will have been better but it was quite good. Even if I took the dinner home, the service was quick and the staff was pleasant.
It’s now, our thai to go in Redfern. Best value in Redfern! I particularly love the creamy chilli basil noodles! But the fried rice and the curries are good as well! Give it a go!
I was on my way for an activity in Lidcombe on a windy Monday evening when I came across this quaint restaurant close to Redfern Station. What caught my eye is the uniquely designed walls of this restaurant and the whole ambiance of the place; it almost felt like you’re about to go inside a local Thai restaurant. It was windy and I was craving for something a bit spicy so I went ahead and got a seat. The service was prompt and satisfactory. Looking at the menu, I decided to have the Tofu Paradise which was deep fried tofu with sweet chili and peanut sauce, Massamum Curry which was beef in coconut milk sauce with potatoes and cashews, and a glass of Thai milk tea. Waiting time for the food was around 10 minutes. They first served my fried tofu. The dish was excellent, I must say. The fried tofu had a crispy outside layer and soft fluffy center which harmonized perfectly with the sweet chili and peanut sauce. On the other hand, when they served my beef curry, it felt like the beef was not freshly prepared because the meats texture was like a mush when chewed and it did not feel firm to eat. Though the sauce felt poorly seasoned, I believe it goes well with the cashews, potatoes, and the beef. To simply put it, I enjoyed the beef curry dish the least because of its texture. All in all, I give my full experience here a 3 out of 5.
