Came here with a friend a couple of nights ago. The waitress recommended the Maharaja banquet as we could share the entre. So we did! The samosas and onion bhaji were OK. The prawn gulnar was nothing special. My favourite was the chicken tikka and second was the lamb chops. For the curries, we had the Goan fish curry and the goat masala. Both was delicious and spicy and the fish was better. For desert I wanted Ras Malai but all they had was gulab jamun. It was very sweet! The staff was friendly and helpful. The dining area is small and intimate. Really good restaurant for a date (if the couple enjoy really spicy foods!) But book ahead! Otherwise wait. The food is, there I say, generic Indian but they do it good!

Maya is quite popular chain with many other restaurants closeby. I happened to visit it on a weekend after I didn’t have much choice as most of the other restaurants were shut. The staff was generous enough to entertain us at 10:45pm even though they shut around that time. Being the only ones at the place we got the order in no time.We ordered kaju pakodas, chicken kadhai and goat curry along with naans and kashmiri pulao. The goat curry is a specialty but I found it a bit bland and wouldn’t mind trying some other specials the next time round. The chicken kadhai was spot on with the exact amount of spice which is really difficult to find at Indian restaurants. Also the pulao was refreshing as it was filled with dry fruits and was the surprise element of the night.I would love to visit this place again after a last minute dine in. They have a lot to offer in beverages and desserts as well.
