Real Italian pizza: the taste is wonderful and ingredients are really fresh!!! Friendly staff & delicious Italian wine!! Highly recomend! (Also, BYO is $5 per bottle!!! WOW!!) What a great find – I strongly recommend checking this place out! Ciao!
Overpriced food and rude waitresses made for a disappointing experience. I had purchased a special deal offer from the Y Waste app, which was supposed to give $16 worth of food (for $8) if we picked it up at a late hour. We arrived, and were told that we would only be given one wrap each. Quite a rip off as there is no way the wraps cost $16 each!
Delicious pizza – perhaps the base is a little thin in the middle so the pizza can get a tad sloppy, but apart from that, the taste is wonderful and ingredients are fresh!
Awesome restaurant in Redfern cooking up a delicious authentic Italian menu. I highly recommend the pizza rolled into a baguette and the redforno Tagliere. Customer service is highly attentive and bossman Guiseppe whizzes around the kitchen cooking everything with love.
In the area to watch the footy at a nearby pub and found Reforno very close to Redfern train station. In the front of the store were pieces of Pizza by the slice that plenty of people were buying on the way past. We were drawn in by the cool tables out the front. The guy cooking was called Guiseppe, can’t get more legitimate Italian than that – this place has gotta be the real deal. He opened about 6 months ago and is into artisan pizza making. We looked online and forno means ‘baked in an oven’ in Italian, the traditional way to make pizza. Guiseppe was making them in a huge pizza oven. The cheese was traditional Italian mozzarella ‘fior de latte’ from the Salerno area. The Italian San Marzano tomatoes used are considered one of the best in the world for making pizza – thinner with less seeds and the taste is stronger, sweeter and less acidic. The dough is made from semolina which is digested better. We started with the Burrata emotion – an entree board with a Burrata that had a light creamy texture, accompanied by rocket, Spanish onion, and bread with balsamic drizzle and was a beautiful creation of pizza art.The pizza we selected was from the specials menu; truffle cream, cherry tomatoes, speck, rocket, fior de latte and this was very tasty, and again beautifully and artistically created. We also ordered a calzone that was huge! It was filled with ham, mushrooms, fior de latte and presented on a board with a side salad that looked like the Italian flag.We decided to go for dessert and on the waitresses suggestion, ordered the Nutella surprise; pizza pieces filled with whipped cream and pistachios, covered with Nutella. It was accompanied with strawberry gelato which cut through the decadence of the Nutella pizza. This also looked beautiful. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so they were kind enough to let us take somehome in a pizza box for later on. This passionate Italian has attention to detail, presents his food beautifully, whilst also being incredibly tasty. Food imitating art – awesome. We were served by two lovely Italian waitresses who had excellent knowledge of all the menu options. What a great find – I strongly recommend checking this place out! aroundtheclockfoodie.com
