Located just across Redfern station, I came here to buy a takeaway coffee. The cafe isn’t that big but the rustic decor looks nice and inviting.My coffee was ready in a timely manner but it’s not strong enough for my liking.
Dropped in for some bacon and eggs to cure a hangover. Grabbed a coffee and bacon egg cheese wrap for $8.50. Food came quick with a smile and was yummy. Good value and a great on the go hangover cure.
Just got a soy latte to go from a friendly staff member. Conveniently located across from Redfern station. I always feel the need to add this, but I don’t know all that much about coffee. In saying this, Social Laneway’s was pleasant without being amazing.
This is one of my favourite local cafes. Excellent coffee, great breakfasts – and amazing staff. Rob is the perfect guy to run a business like this – friendly, full of energy (and does a lot of work behind the scenes with socially disadvantaged people which makes me like him even more). I’m a host on Airbnb and I send my guests here all the time. Every one of them has said it was a great place to go, and most of them go back repeatedly. everyone has been impressed.
Food/breakfast was great: fresh salmon & plenty of it; half an avocado; nice wholemeal toast; nicely cooked eggs with pink-poached yolks.Coffee was not so great but warm greeting when we arrived + good service made up for that in my opinion.
