Its a mixed bag , Steak was awesome with the right amount of fat the first time , the next time though wasn’t that great. Their fish is pretty good as well. Not much variety on the drinks section pretty restricted options. A decent enough place for a business lunch. Bit expensive but its ok.

The Tudor HotelAny student of history knows that the end Tudor period predates the discovery of Australia by Captain Cook by 167 years so the name of The Tudor Hotel is ironic at best. However, to give credit where its due, step inside and the feel is definitely reminiscent of an English boozer. Dark wood, low ceilings and exposed beams provide a small homage to the home of the cosy pub. Better still the selection of beers is interesting and definitely with an eye on the hipster types that call Redfern home these days; a pint of Young Henrys excellent Newtowner was a reasonable $10.There is a small but pleasant courtyard to the rear, a bottle shop with a great selection of independent brews and the bar staff were friendly and hospitable.Probably the best pub Redfern has to offer. thernbdiary.com

Stylish & comfy dining area with a nice outdoor courtyard. There’s also a great selection of dishes in the menu with daily specials. I really enjoyed the cheese and bacon croquettes and nachos! They also serve cocktails by the jug which is perfect with a group and on hot summer days/nights- we really liked the punch (with fresh watermelon & apple slices)! Recommended for their reasonable prices for good food & drinks –

Great menu, with a wide variety to choose from. Chilled atmosphere and lovely service. The polenta chips are one of the best I have tasted. The food was delicious. Highly recommended.

Awesome menu and the best customer service. You must get the The Tudor Wagyu Nachos Burger and the Pumpkin ravioli with kale, cherry tomato and burnt sage butter. The atmosphere is very cool and after the recent renovation – the decor is simple and nice.

Unlike other pubs in Redfern that are funky and welcoming places this is your standard run of the mill sports bar. The staff are pleasant but not very helpful. One staff member couldn’t recommend anything from the menu as she hasn’t tried anything. The food is priced very high for a local pub. Burgers, schnitzel and nachos around $20. The house special burger Wagyu Nachos Burger was ok. It had way too much bun and 6 corn chips inside the burger hardly make it a nachos burger. With many other great bars in redfern I doubt I’ll return here in a hurry.
