While I only get take away from here, I have seen a fair few people eat in over the number of times I’ve been here, and the place looks quite neat and clean. I usually get their charcoal chicken with chips and gravy, and I’ve also tried their chicken souvlaki sticks, fried chicken wings, potato bake, Portuguese chicken with garlic sauce, and Singapore noodles.Their charcoal chicken is pretty good, tender and juicy inside, with plenty of flavour and stuffings. It’s cooked over actual coals, not like some places that call their chicken charcoal chicken but cook it in the oven. The chips are always made fresh and has that beautiful chrisp crunch on the outside while remaining soft inside. As I get gravy with mine, I usually tell them to leave the salt off the chips, as I find otherwise, it can tend to be too salty. The fried chicken wings are a bit hit and miss, sometimes they can be a bit too oily and a little burnt and dry inside, but other times they’re great, and beautifully juicy inside. The souvlaki sticks are pretty consistent, very flavorful, and tender. I don’t like their potato bake at all, I found it to be rather dry and clumpy, with the potato texture on the crunchy side, instead of being creamy and smooth. The Singapore noodles and the Portuguese chicken are both very mediocre, not terrible but not great either, and the garlic sauce is okay but a little too thick.I’ve only tried one of their burgers to date, the Shack Stack, which is a chicken burger with A LOT of extras. It was a bit hard to eat, as it was quite big, and there’s also so much sauce, it’s dripped quite a bit. Once you get around that though, the burger is very delicious, all the extras and the sauces work perfectly together, and the chicken is beautifully tender.Service here is quite fast and friendly, and the prices are also quite cheap, with my order for two usually sitting around the $20 mark. knifeforknchopsticks.com
