The food here is great!  The coffee is great too but could be better.  The staff are always friendly.  If it’s a little chilly, there are always blankets to keep you warm.  We need more cafes like this in Revesby/Panania/East Hills.

Their social media states “best coffee in Revesby” and it’s really not true. It’s ok, but prob won’t be back. I ordered the pancakes and they were like three hunks of muffin top, not light and fluffy pancakes. It was presented well enough but not as well plated as seen on their Instagram page. Tasted ok, nothing special though. It lacked wow in both presentation and taste. Advertised on the menu as coming with maple syrup, but it didn’t and had to ask for it. Had to ask the waitress to clear and wipe down the table too. I just expected this to generally be a better experience. Person taking my order was friendly and they seem like nice staff.

Trekking it to Revesby at 8am may not have been the brightest idea but I’d do it all over again for Young Mug Café.Breaky Burger had the classic ingredients – egg, bacon, lettuce, cheese and smashed avo – but jazzed up with spicy mayo and a hash brown on the side. Despite being simple, I enjoyed the flavour combination and the fluffiness of the milk bun. The spicy mayo was perfection and in my eyes reinvented this humble burger. If you’re feeling a little more peckish, I’d suggest the Big Breaky. With 2 poached eggs, bacon, chorizo, haloumi, hash brown, sautéed mushrooms, tomato and sourdough, you’ll be spoilt for choice. I love sharing big dishes like this because it means I can nibble here and there without getting overly full. Appreciated the cross-hatching on the chorizo, thought that this was super cute. More vibrancy and freshness would not have gone astray, especially considering the saltiness of the bacon and chorizo. The crowning jewel of the table, the granola bowl, did not disappoint. I loved the tartness of the yoghurt, freshness of the seasonal fruit, and crunch of the toasted nuts and granola. Presentation was sensational and this was by far my favourite dish of the morning. Also, a relatively cheap meal ($14) compared to granola bowls I’ve tried at other cafés, a real selling point in my opinion.Drinks were light and fruity, with a whole range of hot and cold drinks on offer. I could definitely see myself with a glass of Fruits of Eden Iced Tea on a warm summer’s day. Drawn to the name, Honeydew Green Tea, I was curious to see what this would taste like. It was essentially a green tea with a subtle note of honeydew to mellow out the tea. Mango smoothie was creamy and smooth, would recommend. Also, loved the Young Mug coffee art on the cappuccino, a nice touch from the café.If you’d like to read more of my reviews, please check out my zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos! My thanks to Young Mug Café for the invite!
