Came here for lunch and wow what a location. I was seated outside and the weather was lovely. The interior and exterior of bare witness is already a selling point for me. To start I ordered a taro latte which was a bit too milky- not enough taro. The food made up for this though. I ordered the eggs benedict with bacon mac and cheese and my friend ordered the chicken and waffles. The food was absolutely to die for. Will definitely come back.

BARE WITNESSThe views and food at this cafe is really good. I really enjoyed my pasta dish. However, the rainbow crepe cake was terrible so recommend you not to purchase it. It should be noted that they have a supplier for the cakes so this shouldn’t reflect on the cafe, rather to change their cakes supplier.

The weather was wet and rainy when we went but it didnt deter our Sunday brunch date from happening We arrived just a little past 11:30 and decided to choose one breakfast item – Magic Mushrooms: Mixed asian mushrooms in miso, asparagus, soft boiled egg, ricotta filled zucchini flowers, hazelnut crumbs served on brioche with ricotta cheese with grilled chicken ($24) and a lunch item – Chicken & Waffles: Southern fried chicken, double smoked bacon, Granny Smith apple, gravy with candied pecans ($20). Feeling a bit peckish without breakfast we opted for an additional bowl of chips which came with a mildly spicy chipotle mayo ($10) alongside my large raspberry candy blend flat white ($5) and his oreo milkshake ($7.80).Mushroom lovers will be obsessed with the breakfast item because the brioche bun was bursting from how much mushroom there was, including the variety of mushrooms (enoki, mushroom, shiitake etc). I really enjoyed having the zucchini flowers on the side for some added crunch because I felt like the body of the dish was losing its shape (just like my waistline after devouring those chips haha). The waffles were sweet and a nice contrast against the salty fried chicken, which was average at best. The Oreo milkshake was alright but I think my candy raspberry coffee blend was a bit of a reach because there wasnt much difference between this coffee and a regular blend compared to the specialty coffees at Grounds of Alexandria. We may have ordered a bit too much because by the end, we were both a bit uncomfortably full.Experience would have been better if it hadnt rained because the view from the restaurant wouldve been lovely but with the amount of cafes nearby in Rhodes, I think we will try another spot next time

Going on a Sunday at lunch time meant a 15 min wait however the food was served promptly. Both dishes we got, sweet potato fritters and magic mushroom were good but a bit pricy for the portion size. But I guess the prices are average cafe prices. My only complaint is the matcha pancakes aren’t served past 11.30am.

I love the location of the place.. its so chill and showcases the beautiful lake. I like what me and my friend ordered. I ordered the poke bowl and mango juice. The portion was quite generous and I kinda like the taste of it

For a Saturday afternoon they definitely fill up fast.We sat outside under the shade since we had a dog with us.Waiters were all friendly and nice, even gave our dog bowls of water to drink. We wanted to try their matcha pancakes but came too late since they stop serving that one item after 11:30am. Our waiter didn’t know the reason behind it…My French toast was light, sweet and the fruit was fresh. Maybe next I’ll ask for the syrup on the side but otherwise a lovely dish. The mushrooms were pretty tasty, poached egg could have been a little more runny but otherwise the dish as a whole was pretty hearty. Cold brew coffee was easy to drink, fragrant and refreshing. Even bought one for the road. Great Saturday brunch spot. Good food and a beautiful view that over looks the water at Rhodes.

    – Cauliflower Salad (4/5): Hot damn this was good! The fried cauliflower was nicely crisped on the outside but soft on the inside with pops of crunchy chickpeas and kale. The tahini was a wonderful creamy dressing and I loved every bite. – Zucchini Bowl (3/5): This one needed a little more seasoning but everything was cooked to a t. – French Toast (4/5): Cant really mess this one up! The French toast is delightful, creamy and they sure dont skimp out on the fruit (loved the poached pear!)
