Came here on a scoopon voucher. Ordered cheese curry with chicken ($15.90) which was probably the best dish. Stretchy cheese and lots of it. No complaints. Eel wrapped in egg rolls is normally $16.90. For a price tag like that, i would expect some more eel. Lastly, grilled pork ($6.90). Looks good but overcooked. Very dry. Service was not prompt. After waving to the worker to order, we had to wait 5 mins. Would i come again? Nah.
The food here is great and decently priced. We had the Tempura Prawns, Soft Shell Crab Sushi Roll and Curry Cheese Rice. It didn’t say in the menu but the prawns came with some tempura vegetables which was a nice surprise. There might have been a bit of a name or batter mix up though as the prawns were coated with panko which meant they were actually katsu. Nevertheless, they were demolished in no time. The curry cheese rice was a nice change to typical curry rice dishes. We opted not to have the additional beef or chicken and it was still great on its own. I could tell that KP thoroughly enjoyed this hearty dish. The only qualm I have is the poor indoor ventilation. Their deep fryers are situated external to the kitchen, probably so you can experience all the deep frying action if you sit at the bar. The lack of an exhaust fan or chute above the deep fryers coupled with the many fried options on the menu resulted in the whole place smelling like fried oil. This doesn’t seem like a deterrent though as the place is often crowded. I just have a strong dislike for smelling like food. Anyway, apart from that, everything else was pretty good. I did give it a 4.0 rating after all and I’d definitely go back!
Just shit – ordered eel w rice & ramenIt taste like Chinese+Japanese food.. And the food was such a small amount with expensive price that me and my partner went to other restaurant to eat proper meal.
Firstly, there was only 2 tables which accommodated for more than 2 people. We had 3 people and both the 4 people tables were taken. All the other 2 seater tables were available, so we asked the waitress if we could connect 2 tables together. They replied with ‘no’ in a really harsh manner.Okay. So we waited another 10 minutes until the four seater was available. When we got the table, we had to move all our cups, chopsticks, water ourselves and the waitresses wouldn’t even help us. When we were ready to order, we had to raise our hands and speak very loudly to them. They ignored us several times, even though there were no other customers and they looked like they were pretending to be busy with other stuff.Also, this was meant to be a Japanese restaurant but all the waitresses spoke Mandarin. It also didn’t help that they were gossiping in Mandarin and complaining about how ‘demanding’ we were. I understood every word of it.Now moving on to the food. It was average. Nothing special, but it wasn’t bad either. Just the customer service made our experience horrible. Would not recommend and would not return.
ordered tariyaki beef take away. Worst ever had before, too salty and rice is leftover cold rice!!!will not go back again and recommend to no one.
