Only tried the croquettes which was lightly fried and light in taste in the centre. The rice triangles were satisfying but also quite filling. I would choose the tuna over the ham. I didn’t see til too late 12 hour cooked pork ramen, that’s for next time
Minimum for eftpos is $15 so I ordered tempura udon for $13.50 and seaweed salad for $1.50 takeaway. She didnt give me my seaweed salad and the tempura udon did not taste good. The broth was not appealing. Would not recommend.
Located on the top floor, close to Reading Cinema, Tarafuku is one of my favourite place to eat at Rhodes Waterside. Reasonable price for the portion served. One of my favourite dish from them is chicken karaage. I love the self serve section where I can get more chilli and Japanese mayo.
I ordered the cha shu ramen. I think that spelling is wrong but i hope you know what i mean. The serving size was good. The noodles were only ok. The broth was very salty. The meat was odly sweet. Overall i would not go back but it was busy. Service was friendly enough.
$10.50 for a regular bowl of teriyaki chicken ramen with tonkotsu shoyu broth . Honestly the broth was a little too spiced and thick for my liking and the noodles were okay. Sadly not my favourite ramen place however it was an interesting experience .UPDATE: ordered chicken katsu don. Tasted so bad and non-Japanesey. Lots of onions and tasted like a Chinese chicken don. Yeah… nasty. Plus it was $12 so not worth it.
Came here for a quick bite and ordered their Tarafuku special which is ramen with Tonkatsu miso soup base with marinated pork belly, picked mustard, bean sprouts and bamboo shoot the tonkatsu is rich and balanced in flavour all orher ingredients are fresh and taste good. Can use a bit more pickled mustard to balance the pork otherwise can’t complain. Very good value. Food came reasonably quick.
